Repetto and Mary Katrantzou have embarked upon new collaboration to create a capsule collection of ballet flats and brogues in graphic prints. The Parisian brand renowned for its beautiful shoes and accessories asked the Greek designer, Mary Katrantzou, to tinker with two iconic models of the brand for their latest pop-up store, Colette.
Made famous by the likes of Brigitte Bardot and Serge Gainsbourg, Repetto is a quintessential French brand, worn by all the chicest girls in Paris. Once you see a casual girl with a Breton stripe tee, blue jeans and Repetto ZiZis riding a bicycle you will know what we mean. Mary Katranzou who defined by her bold cuts and complex design has lent her recognisable graphic prints to the ZiZi brogue, as well as the Cendrillon ballet flat immortalised by Bardot in And God Created Woman.
The capsule collection features variations on two prints – a paint splatter/abstract tree scenario and a close up on one of Paris’ famous bridges. The limited edition signature pieces are available at Repetto’s Colette boutique on Rue Saint-Honoré in Paris. (Text Teuku Ajie)
