Jakarta-based band Polka Wars just released first official lyric video ‘Mokelé’ from their debut record Axis Mundi. This video was produced and directed by Polka Wars during their recordings trip to New York two months ago, along with it, today they also have released debut album in regular CD format, after the previous 100 box set sold out in just two hours and a half.
‘Mokelé’ is Polka Wars’ first single released in conjunction with their departure to the big apple a couple months ago. This song is an energetic garage opener for the record, listen closely and you’ll feel the unforgettable vocal melody in both ears.
Polka Wars have been described by many music publications as an “indie rock” outfit. This conceptual rock band has been awarded as Young Guns 2015 by Rolling Stone Magazine. Surely, they’re the new kids on the block, but they’ve gradually drawing attention since the first spin, and we can say their debut album was the most anticipated Indonesian indie releases in 2015.
