Inspired by her everyday playlist, this fall collection Karen Walker showcasing the new era of post-punk. The New Zealand designer’s message came in loud and clear yesterday at her New York Fashion Week runway show, where she took cues from ’70s punk rockers The Damned and Siouxsie and the Banshees frontwoman herself, upping the rebellious rock ‘n roll ante in Walker’s rad frames. Through out the silhouette, Walker’s playing around with attitude that was shifting towards quirkier direction. To compare with her blast season collection, this fall looks more polished and vibrant. There were colors like olive, ivory; poppy red dominates her palette for this season. Olive sweaters that combine over a midi dress had just showing the playfulness of this collection. At the end we can always count on Walker to roll out ridiculously awesome sunglasses season after season and this time around, her oversized shades came in neon tangerine, bright yellow, and embellished black. So, let us put it this way: simple yet eccentric.
