A very fresh looks to open this spring/ summer 2014 show. The first all white look really defines the tone. The designer started with a clinical look, which is a nice change of pace from his fundamental aesthetic to present such a pure collection with architectural pieces.  After few looks Doma’s then returned to his comfort zone with a series of volume pieces and boxy shirts mix with either shorts or pants.

Yet, this season, the designer really wants to highlight the graphic and textural introduction of a chevron motif. Not to forget the interesting pieces of garments with laser cut finishing coloured plastic fabrics, and scale geometric pattern to apply on items such as blouse jacket or even a canvas coat. This whole spring/ summer is about the standout of chevron embellishment on final pieces that makes the entire collection looks so new and exciting. The editor’s pick item would be a beautiful tailored black and white oversized tartan patterned suit jacket that was really unique and edgy.

Nevertheless, Damir Doma can really proof that he is surely a rising star for the menswear ranks. (Text Dinta Jakile)
