For this fall season, Simone Rocha exploring the historical element from the work of Louise Bourgeois and digging her past collection Mamelles. Rocha’s elaborating both of the ideas and resulting a pretty stunning and evocative collection. The main theme for this season would definitely be Victorian Romance that was packaged in very sculptural dimensions of pieces. The show took place in London’s historic Guildhall with a detail of stain glassed windows and muted kind of lighting. The soundtrack   to her show was a track from Sonic Youth titled Superstar was complementing the whole ambience of Rocha’s show. Hence, key items such as ruffled silk dresses, balloon sleeve coats, lace pencil skirts, tapestry capes and dresses and trapeze jackets that would be the highlight of Rocha’s epic collection. Also, tapestry would definitely be a key trend for this fall season. Pink, Red, and Black always been her favourite colours and something to define Simone Rocha. However, the interesting part would be the combines’ materials such as tweed, chenille yarns, tapestry materials, organza, velvet, lace, tulle, and silk satin. And the use of these materials and tapestry as part the element of make-up was another something from Rocha’s this season. These whole materials always make Simone Rocha’s collection turn out very special and suggest its romance. Yet, it felt that this collection has suggested a deeper meaning and statement pieces on it.
